Biography

Christina Plum teaches Lawyering Skills: Public Speaking for Lawyers (formerly, Oral Communication), a class she began teaching in 2003. She is also a guest lecturer for the Law School's Economic Justice Institute clinical programs. She was previously part of the adjunct teaching faculty for the Lawyering Skills General Practice Course and the Legal Writing Program. In addition to teaching at the Law School, Ms. Plum has addressed bar association leaders, bar association executives and others, offering strategies for public speaking and participating in meetings.

Ms. Plum graduated magna cum laude from Marquette University in 1992, receiving an Honors B.A. in Journalism. She is a 1995 cum laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she was active in the Student Bar Association and on the Moot Court Board. Since graduating from law school, Ms. Plum has worked as a judicial law clerk, a law firm associate, a legal services staff attorney and a family court commissioner. She is currently a Senior Staff Attorney for the Wisconsin Court of Appeals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Ms. Plum has been active in numerous bar associations. She is a past president of the State Bar of Wisconsin Young Lawyers Division and a past Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Young Lawyers Division. She currently serves as Wisconsin's ABA State Delegate and is active in the ABA Section of Litigation.
