Biography

Bree Grossi Wilde is the Executive Director of the State Democracy Research Initiative and an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School. For twelve years prior, Bree served as the career law clerk to Judge William Conley of the Western District of Wisconsin. In this role, she was responsible for working on all aspects of the court’s civil docket. She began her legal career practicing general commercial litigation at Foley & Lardner LLP, after clerking for Judge Richard Cudahy of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Before law school, Bree worked as a management consultant for the Monitor Group, where she focused on supporting mission-driven organizations to grow to national scale and human capital development. Bree graduated from Amherst College summa cum laude and from Yale Law School, where she served as a projects editor for the Yale Law Journal and an intern with the community legal services clinic.
