Event Description
We are pleased to invite you to the “Corporate Law at a Crossroads” Keynote Speech and Introductory Panel. Corporate law and corporate governance have been at the spotlight of public and regulatory attention. Questions regarding dual class shares, board structure and composition, the role of institutional investors in promoting social cause, the growing regulatory intervention by the SEC and recent Delaware cases are indicative of a larger underlying shift in the contours and direction of corporate America. Following a keynote speech by Chancellor Kathaleen St. J. McCormick of the Delaware Court of Chancery, a panel of academic experts will explore the present and future of corporate law and corporate governance through these recent debates.
